David Hyde Pierce, Bobby Steggert, Elaine Stritch, et al. Join New York Philharmonic’s SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert

Laura Benanti, Matt Cavenaugh, Jenn Colella, Joanna Gleason, John McMartin, Laura Osnes, David Hyde Pierce, Bobby Steggert, Elaine Stritch, Jim Walton, and Chip Zien have joined the lineup for the New York Philharmonic’s SONDHEIM: The Birthday Concert, to be held March 15-16 at Avery Fisher Hall. Paul Gemignani will conduct and Lonny Price will direct the concerts.

These concerts will feature some of the composer-lyricist’s most enduring orchestral music and songs in addition to rarely-heard material, including a suite from music he wrote for the film Reds, which has never before been performed live.

Previously announced performers include Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Jason Danieley, Nathan Gunn, George Hearn, Patti LuPone, Marin Mazzie, Audra McDonald, Donna Murphy, Mandy Patinkin, and Bernadette Peters.
