Full casting has been announced for the pop-rock musical Love, NY, by composer/lyricist Robert Rokicki and librettist/lyricist Michael Ruby. The one-night concert performance will take place at The Zipper Factory on Monday, January 26, at 7 pm. Francis Kelly will direct.
The show tells the story of five 20-somethings fighting to find their way in the Big Apple. The musical is the recipient of the Harmony Prize, awarded to the writers of a show that delves into a different segment of American society.
The cast will feature Randy Aaron, Kevin Massey , Brynn O'Malley, Vanessa Ray, Krysta Rodriguez, and Nick Spangler. John Prestianni will music direct and lead the 4-piece rock band.
Rokicki's credits include the Fringe hit Martha & Me, while Ruby wrote the librettos to Ethan Frome and the Christmas revue The Greatest Holiday Musical...Ever!
