(© Joseph Marzullo/WENN) | Daniel Davis and Laila Robins will be part of the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's 2008 season.
Davis will take on the title role in King Lear, to run July 2-27. His Broadway credits include La Cage Aux Folles, The Frogs, and Wrong Mountain, for which he received a Tony Award nomination, and he is best known for his role as Niles on the hit TV sitcom The Nanny. Robins will play Blanche DuBois in Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire, September 10-October 5. Robins' Broadway credits include Heartbreak House, Frozen, and The Herbal Bed.
The season's Main Stage offerings also include The Comedy of Errors (April 30-May 18), Amadeus. (May 28-June 22), Private Lives (August 6-31), and Romeo and Juliet (October 15-November 16). In addition, the company will present The Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr (abridged) on its outdoor stage at the College of St. Elizabeth in Morristown, June 18-July 20.
