Susan has been enticed to the Brabissant mansion by a charming Irish couple who are struck by Susan's strong resemblance to Veronica Brabissant, the long dead daughter of the family for whom they work. When they asked her to come home and pretend to be Veronica to make a dying old woman happy, it seemed like such a small thing to ask. But suddenly, things aren't going the way Susan expected. As a child, Susan was told by her mother not to talk to strangers. Susan should have listened. Veronica's Room, written by playwright Ira Levin, is a totally absorbing spider's web entwining fantasy and reality. Levin is world-renowned for Deathtrap his Broadway thriller, as well as for his celebrated novel Rosemary's Baby and screenplay The Stepford Wives.
