The Shakespeare Project presents a world premiere puppetry adaptation of William Shakespeare's romantic comic poem. Venus & Adonis is the hilarious story of the frantic love goddess Venus' unsuccessful seduction of the beautiful young Adonis. The performances, which are free of charge, take place in parks throughout the city. The schedule is as follows: June 22 - June 25: Fort Tryon Park, Manhattan June 29 - July 2: St. Albans Park, Queens July 6 - July 9: Battery Park City, Manhattan July 13 - July 16: Central Park at the Shakespeare Garden, Manhattan July 20 - July 23: Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx July 27 - July 30: Fort Green Park, Brooklyn August 3 - August 6: St. Nicholas Park, Manhattan August 10 - August 13: Sakura Park, Manhattan
