WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The American Revolution follows General George Washington on his epic quest to defeat the world's largest Empire. He faces British troops, American Tories, Hessian mercenaries, mutinying generals, a bankrupt Congress, and his own incompetent troops. Howard Thoresen directs for Inverse Theater. The show performs Friday, June 14 through Sunday, June 16 at the East Park Amphitheater (FDR Drive, Cherry St.) and Friday, June 21 through Sunday, July 7 in the Lawn Below the Dairy in Central Park (mid-park at 65th St.) There is a benefit performance on Thursday, July 4 at 4:00pm in La Plaza Cultural Community Garden (9th St. between Ave. B and C.) All performances are free.
