WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
SiteLines 2005 ushers in the NYC summer with over 50 free live performances that places all the right works in all the wrong places. Arresting SiteLines performances will take hold of Downtown's urban landscape. LMCC started this new site-specific performance series summer 2004. This year, Sitelines presents six artists working in dance, theater and poetry performance in over 50 performances all around Lower Manhattan. Schedule Returning by Liz Sargent May 12-14, 19-21 Thursday-Friday 5:30pm and 7:30pm, Saturday 7:30pm Site: 15 Nassau Street (between Cedar and Pine Streets) Bridges by Mary Seidman June 2-4 12pm-2pm Sites: Stone & Mill Streets to South Street Seaport - Beekman Street to Peck Slip on the East River Freewheeling by Mary Seidman June 11, 12, 18, 19 12:30pm-2pm Bike paths from Canal Street on the East Side to West Side by the Boathouse. Limelight by Monica Bill Barnes June 27-July 1 12:30pm-1:30pm Site: Public fountain in the Bowling Green public Park (Broadway and Beaver Street) Reel by Tom Pearson July 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16. 2pm with additional Thursday performances at 6.30pm Site: Rotunda of the National Museum of the American Indian, 1 Bowling Green Peripheral City by Red Dive July 7, 14, August 11, 18 12pm, 1pm, 2pm Red Dive will lead an urban expedition that will carve a path across the Lower Manhattan district. Several Stories by Chris Elam/Misnomer Dance Theatre August 9; 12:30pm and 1:30pm August 11; 5:30pm and 6:30pm Site: Robert Wagner Park off Battery Place Red Coil by Cecilia Vicuna (Co-presented by The Poets House) August 22 and 25. 7pm Site: The Pavilion in Rockefeller Park (Warren Street & River Terrace)
