AVOID, AVOID, AVOID........!!!!!! This is a total waste of time and a total rip-off....... It looked promising from the initial entrance and went downhill all the way from there. They charged $ 3.00 for the coat check, one of the attendants upon retrieivng my coat has the audacity to say to me "tipping is encouraged!". The drinks all average about $ 10.00 each, and they even put attendants in the bathrooms looking for you to spend more money after washing your hands! The venue lost complete focus as to what it is supposed to be about, the final show in the large room is tedious, uninspired, and hardly erotic......yet another opporunity for them to sell more drinks. Between admission, drinks, tips, expect to spend about $ 75 to $ 80.00 per person to feel totally ripped off. This "event" takes place in The China Club and they would best service this "event by charging $ 5 to $ 10 maximum as you are getting no value for the ticket prices they are charging. I assure you this will be a BIG BOMB and will not see the likes of it again next year or anywhere in NYC. Our residents are far too savy and sophisticated to buy into this crap. STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! I highly recommend "Nightmare" the hauted house on the lower east side that accomplishes what it sets out to do at a fraction of the cost. The website for Purgatorio looks amazing and is TOTALLY MISLEADING!!!!!!

very dissapointed Not a haunted house or any real Halloween attraction no real show to speak of crowded dirty bar Honestly if the admission were free and they threw in the first two rounds I would still say Dont go to this dump A real letdown!!!!!

- mandatory $4 coat check - one hour of waiting for a show in a holding room - overpriced drinks - overpriced admission Nice concept but it came nowhere near to fruition. Go at your own risk. I wish you better luck than I had.
