LOL is the modern day Frankenstein story of life and love on the internet. Danny Lawrence has a hard time relating to women, both in real life and on the web, until he creates a fictional online feminine personality of himself named Karen. Karen is everything Danny is not. She's aggressive, confident, sexual....through Karen, Danny slowly starts to discover what women truly want. The problem comes when Karen refuses to let go, forcing Danny to stay online for hours, days even weeks. A literal life and death struggle ensues between the two halves of Danny's personality, with everything on the line.
