Founded in Madrid, Spain this company of twenty-four dancers and live musicians is considered one of the premier dance troupes of this art form bringing the traditions of flamenco alive in an explosion of rhythms, colors and emotions.
Artistic Director José Porcel made his professional dance debut in 1989 and choreographed his first flamenco work in 1993.He has danced with many of the masters and was contracted as first dancer in the Compañía Española de Antonio Márquez, which he later took over as director. After two successful tours in the United States, in 2001-02 and again in 2008-09, the company returns with a new program.
