A ship set sail upon a rhythmic sea is the setting for CAMBUYÓN by Enlace S.C. The Spanish archipelago, the Canary Islands, has long served as a global trade post, resulting in a diverse seaside culture unlike any other. The title of the show comes from a tradition of British ships docking just offshore and inviting residents to row out and purchase goods, or "come buy on" their vessel. The company represents this exuberant, unique crossroads of cultures and disciplines with artists who have performed and taught across six continents. With several members from Camut Band (New Vic 2001), we were familiar with some of the artists, but were introduced to this particular troupe during CAMBUYÓN's celebrated run during the 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Come aboard for this exquisitely crafted and globally inspired journey!
