Broadway Playhouse, an exciting new concert series for families that explores the great musicals of Broadway, kicks off with Broadway Playhouse: Rodgers & Hammerstein. This opening concert features many kid-friendly activities, like an audience sing-along, interactive games with audience volunteers, comic scenes and sketches about the composers, and a mini-musical of The King And I.

Audiences, led by host Sean Hartley, learn how Rodgers and Hammerstein worked together to write a musical, and even have the chance to collaborate on a simple song. Hartley is joined by an engaging cast of singer/comedians and music director, Jihwan Kim. The concert is geared to elementary school children, but will entertain and educate the whole family.

Broadway Playhouse performs in the Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Center.
