The White Plains Performing Arts Center Conservatory Theatre has announced plans to premiere the Creating Broadway Series by hosting three renowned Broadway composers: Jeanine Tesori (Violet), Jason Robert Brown (The Bridges of Madison County), and Martin Charnin (Annie).

On July 28, Jeanine Tesori will lead an audition technique workshop where she will teach tricks of the trade by reviewing and critiquing actors' performances. Jason Robert Brown will give a concert of songs from his canon to benefit the WPPAC Conservatory Theatre on August 6. Then on September 8, lyricist Martin Charnin will work with actors to provide techniques for rounding out songs in their repertoire for performance or audition.

Each of the series' editions will showcase the talents of Broadway artists with concerts, master classes, lectures, and workshops.

Since 2003, the White Plains Performing Arts Center has striven to be the epicenter for theatrical education in Westchester County. Their Conservatory Theatre is a professional training and presentation program for all theatrical artists between the ages of 10 and 25.
