Broadway veteran Christa Justus (Les Misérables, Titanic) and award-winning composer and arranger Andrew Gerle (Meet John Doe) team up for a tribute to their friends, the award winning songwriting team of  Richard Maltby, Jr. & David Shire at The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Café in New York City.

Throw It to the Wind will take place at 8PM on two consecutive Fridays - January 16th & 23rd, 2009.  Backed by a four-piece combo, this jazz-inflected evening features Mr. Gerle's bold new arrangements of favorites from "Baby", "Big", "Starting Here, Starting Now", and "Closer Than Ever", plus songs from Maltby & Shire's soaring new show, "Take Flight."  "Throw It to the Wind" is directed by Steve Bebout, with musical direction by Mr. Gerle.
