WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Gloria Glitter is the mature and sexy star of a low budget live late TV show with her production office located on the Bowery. She fancies herself in the ranks of Jay Leno and David Letterman and lives up to her Glitter name (you'll understand this when you see her). She is from the old school of show business where people became stars from working hard in the "Biz", not from deviate behavior on a Reality Show, one of her big pet peeves.
Gloria says, "Why should I have gone to drama school and spent years on stage developing my craft as an extra on movie sets, hoping and praying to be a star when all I had to do was stop wearing underwear and lift my skirt in public and presto, I would be a offered my own reality show!"
Gloria is extremely jealous of Wendy Williams but worships Oprah. She is excited that Oprah has told the world she is hanging up her show next year so Gloria figures she is the heir apparent and why not?! They are both female TV talk hosts, both big and both Black, who but Gloria should step in her shoes. Not Monique!!!! That overbearing b_ _th who thinks she is all that because she won an Oscar this year! Gloria is surrounded by a conceited male chauvinist producer who uses the show to seduce very young women who end up as Assistants to Gloria, i.e. her latest dumb Assistant, Mary-Lou-Beth Jane Rose Brown, who hails from Peetawkut, North Carolina. Gloria's Russian announcer, Sergei, was born in the village of Gompsk in the old Soviet Union. He graduated Magna Cum Loud from "The Leningrad School of the Announce". He refuses to be seen, photographed or drawn because he believes the KGB wants to kill him for some event in his past that he won't discuss.
Strep Dukakis is Gloria's resident fan and low level advertiser who is often on the show being interviewed by Gloria because she has no other choice, he may be an annoying creep, but he is her biggest advertiser. Coke and Pepsi do not return the show's calls. He is presently working on his sexual memoirs of the Jewish Male entitled, "He's Just Not That Far Into You". This is only a short list of characters surrounding Gloria, with her red lips and big hips, she's the Lady Ga Ga of the Baby Boomer set. Gloria figures she has only so many years left to hit the high marks and better step up her social climbing to stardom before the old rocking chair of life gets her. A live, scripted and improvisational show, it changes every week just like real TV shows do with different special guests and different jokes that Gloria freely steals from other late night talk shows' monologues.
Join the world of GLORIA GLITTER, but fair warning----her land of laughs is deliciously addictive.

"Beverly Bonner has the gift of always making me laugh! And she did it again, tonight as Gloria Glitter."

"Beverly, (Beverly Bonner), I thoroughly enjoyed your show but I always do!
You are just a "natural born comedienne"! LOL What is so good about your comedy is that you write your feelings...I thought the young woman who played your assistant (Maria Aparo), and the young lady who was your niece (Julia Falamas) were both great too! I also enjoyed the young man (Kelvin Ehigie) who portrayed the African Auditioner. All of the actors were fantastic and made me laugh..."
Carmelita Frazier, Manager of Music and Events, New York City - 4/9/2010
"After a tough week, I was glad I made it to the Broadway Comedy Club to check out Ms. Gloria Glitter and her cast of industry misfits. I found myself laughing out loud at their on and off stage antics. Watch out Wendy Williams!"

"Beverly (Beverly Bonner) has really shown she has the stuff that hits are made of. Gloria Glitter, sharp, fast, witty humor. A cast that shows Beverly knew what she wanted and got it. Marvelous for early evening or late night laugh out loud."
Joan Phillips, TV/Theater Producer, Riverdale, NY - 4/9/2010
"It's Spring--time to have some fun. The Gloria Glitter Show is as glittery
as its title promises, filled with promising talent, clever improv, and amusing
quips. It's a sparkly way to bring in the new season."
