Kate Dawson arrived in New York City, wide-eyed and optimistic, from Champaign, IL, in 1996, with the dream of making it "big." She easily landed an agent and worked in productions on Broadway, Off Broadway and regionally, and also kept busy doing voice over work for TV and film. However, as time passed she recognized that she was among thousands of actors who were only making it "a little." She began questioning her career choice and realized that it was NOT what she had dreamed of.
