Le Jazz Au Bar presents the return of R & B legend Ruth Brown for a month-long engagement in an all new show entitled Songs of My Life. Songs include "While We Are Young," "God Bless The Child," "Tears in Heaven," "I'll Be Seeing You," "Can't Help Lovin' That Man" and "Stormy Weather."

In July 2004, Ms. Brown made her first NY appearance in over five years and it was the talk of the town ­ and extended twice! Stephen Holden in The New York Times says that Ruth "has evolved into a time-honored show business archetype, the Embattled Survivor...an eloquent one." Ms. Brown will be supported by a five-piece band including: Rodney Jones (guitarist, Band Leader), Bill Easley (saxophones, flute), Jesse "Cheese" Hameen, II (drums), Paul Ramsey (bass) and Oliver Von Essen (Hammond B3, keyboards).
