WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
San Francisco sensation Judy Butterfield -- recently nominated for a 2007 MAC Award -- returns to the Oak Room with Judy Sings Judy: Songs of a Young Garland. A protégé of Andrea Marcovicci, the "Queen of Cabaret," seventeen year old Butterfield premiered her show at The Empire Plush Room in San Francisco and has performed for Standing Room Only audiences in New York, Los Angeles, Denver, and Lake Oswego, Oregon. Judy uses her own distinct voice and gift for storytelling to bring to life the world in which Ms. Garland began her career. Join her for a journey from Grand Rapids Minnesota to Hollywood; from MGM to somewhere over the rainbow.
"On her way toward the rainbow [...] a mix of Elizabeth Taylor and Scarlett O'Hara"
-- San Francisco Chronicle
"Blessed with a stunning beauty and a lovely clear voice [...] This is surely one young lady 'who can!'"
-- Bonnie Weiss, Musical Theater Lovers United
