Finnish composer, pianist and jazz legend Heikki Sarmanto and vocalist Jeannine Otis continue their collaboration with a concert of their CD Magic Songs. The CD, originally released in the 1980's by Warner/European Records and reissued a few years ago, explores the poetry of Eino Leino as translated by the late Aina Swann Cutler and realized through Sarmanto's music. The songs have become classics, listened to all over the world, and the collaboration between Heikki and American Jeannine represents a stunning cultural exchange.

The concert will also feature Heikki performing some of his other original compositions.
Completing the ensemble are Wei Sheung Lin, bass, and Seiji Ochai, drums.
