WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Amas Musical Theatre presents Blast from the Past, a benefit concert of the Broadway musical, Raisin, with Special Honorees Geoffrey Holder & Carmen deLavallade, and Jim Turley, CEO of Ernst & Young.
The cast includes Alexander Mitchell, who recently played the same role on Broadway in the play version, Raisin in the Sun, Tony-Award winners Chuck Cooper and Lillias White, as well as Norm Lewis (The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon) John Hillner, currently starring in Mamma Mia!; Tamara Tunie from Law and Order SVU, Eugene Fleming (Broadway's Never Gonna Dance, Look of Love) Curtis Cook, Kenita Miller, and Venida Evans. The evening is directed by Kevin Ramsey (Broadway's The Life).
