WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
This is a retrospective and tribute to Trevor Nunn, the famed director of Rock n Roll, King Lear, Les Miserables, Cats, and countless Shakespearean productions during 18 years as Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company. An Evening with Trevor Nunn features an onstage conversation with longtime friend and fellow stage and film director David Jones (Betrayal, 84 Charing Cross Road) focusing on Mr. Nunn's extraordinary Shakespearean career at the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theater and elsewhere.
Also featured are film and stage stars Sinead Cusack (Rock n Roll, Eastern Promises) and Rufus Sewell (Rock n Roll, The Illusionist) reading selections from Shakespeares work, film clips from Mr. Nunn's productions of Macbeth (with Ian McKellen and Judi Dench) and The Merchant of Venice (with Henry Goodman), and a videotaped greeting from Mr. Nunn's longtime friend and collaborator Patrick Stewart.
