Edward Woodward Dies at 79
Stage and screen star Edward Woodward has died, according to a report in The New York Times. He was 79.
The actor starred as Charles Condomine in the Broadway production of the musical High Spirits. Among his other stage credits are the Broadway productions of Rattle of a Simple Man and The Best Laid Plans and UK productions of Hamlet, Cyrano de Bergerac and The White Devil.
Woodward starred in the films The Wicker Man and Breaker Morant, and in the CBS-TV series The Equalizer.
