Carrie Fisher: Drinking It In
The star of the solo show Wishful Drinking shares memories of dating at Studio 54, being Princess Leia, and working with Sir Laurence Olivier.
Carrie Fisher has many claims to fame -- as the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher (and stepdaughter of Elizabeth Taylor), as the co-star of the legendary sci-fi film Star Wars, as the ex-wife of pop singer Paul Simon, and as a woman who has battled addiction and mental illness and come out on the other side. All of these topics are explored in Fisher's solo show Wishful Drinking, now on view at the Roundabout Theatre's Studio 54. TheaterMania recently sat down with Fisher to talk about this fascinating piece of theater and her equally fascinating life.
