An Affair to Remember

Debbie Reynolds, Rosemary Harris, and George Furth help Harvey Fierstein, Faith Prince, Tom Wopat, and the cast of A Catered Affair celebrate their opening night.











The Broadway-bound musical A Catered Affair opened at San Diego's Old Globe Theatre on Sunday, September 30, and TheaterMania was on hand to catch the post-show celebration. Here are stars -- and close friends -- Faith Prince and Tom Wopat, who play Bronx residents Aggie and Tom Hurley.



















Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein not only wrote the musical's book, but he also plays Aggie's brother, Winston.




















The cast also includes Broadway favorites Leslie Kritzer and Matt Cavenaugh, who make a cute onstage couple as bride-to-be Jane Hurley and her fiancé Ralph...





















...Katie Klaus and Philip Hoffman...























...and Heather MacRae, who got a fond greeting at the party from Company librettist George Furth.


















The very talented John Bucchino, best known for his song "Grateful" and "Sweet Dreams," wrote the show's score.





















The legendary Rosemary Harris, who's starring in Oscar and the Pink Lady at the Old Globe's smaller Cassius Carter stage, came by to congratulate Prince and the cast.


















Finally, here's the evening's most special guest: Screen and stage legend Debbie Reynolds, who played the role of Jane in the 1956 film The Catered Affair, on which the musical is based.
