Actress Molly Shannon will play the part of Marge MacDougall in the Broadway revival of Promises, Promisesplaying at the Broadway Theatre, from October 12 through December 26. She replaces Katie Finneran, who is departing the show due to her pregnancy.

The production is directed and choreographed by Rob Ashford. The musical features a book by Neil Simon and score by Burt Bacharach and Hal David and includes such hits as the title song, "Knowing When to Leave," "I'll Never Fall in Love Again," along with Say A Little Prayer" and "A House is Not a Home".

The cast features Sean Hayes as Chuck Baxter and Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth as Fran Kubelik, along with Tony Goldwyn (J.D. Sheldrake), Brooks Ashmanskas (Mr. Dobitch), Dick Latessa (Dr. Dreyfuss), Peter Benson (Mr. Kirkeby), Sean Martin Hingston (Mr. Eichelberger), and Ken Land (Jesse Vanderhof).

Shannon's many film and television credits include Saturday Night Live, Glee, Kath & Kim,. Superstar, Sex and the City, and The Music Man.
