The Broadway premiere of Joe and David Zellnik's musical Yank has been delayed until fall 2011, according to The New York Times.

Award-winning director David Cromer will helm the production, and actor Bobby Steggert is still commited to star, according to the Times. The delay is due in part to Cromer's schedule and to give the show's creators more time to work on a revised book.

The musical, which tells a love story about two American servicemen during World War II., had an extended Off-Broadway run at the York Theatre Company, earlier this year under Igor Goldin's direction.

Cromer is currently represented Off-Broadway by Our Town, for which he won an Obie Award and a Lucille Lortel Award. His many other credits include When the Rain Stops Falling, Adding Machine.Brighton Beach Memoirs, and A Streetcar Named Desire. Additionally, he has been announced to direct an upcoming Broadway revival of William Inge's Picnic.
