On Monday night, The Broadway Walk of Stars Foundation hosted a fundraiser at the palatial apartment of Oscar-winning producer Marty Richards (left), where guests were treated to a performance by South Pacific star Kelli O'Hara.

Hollywood legend Arlene Dahl (right), the Foundation's founder and president, caught up with another great veteran star, Polly Bergen.

Tony Award winner Phyllis Newman was among the luminaries on hand.

The always gracious Dina Merrill was another celebrity guest.

Up in Westport, Connecticut on Monday night, the Westport Country Playhouse held its Footlights and Film gala, which raised over $1.4 million for the theater. Here are Oscar winners Joanne Woodward and Julia Roberts, the theater's artistic director and gala host, respectively.

The evening included a salute to the amazing Angela Lansbury, who sang Stephen Sondheim's "Not While I'm Around."

Another of Sondheim's favorite leading ladies, Bernadette Peters, performed as part of the tribute to Lansbury.

Down in Washington D.C. that night, The Lion King's Kissy Simmons, Dashaun Young, and Tshidi Manye performed at the White House's Rose Garden for President Bush and Ghana's president, John Agyekum Kufuor.

On Tuesday, a press meet-and-greet was held for the new play Fault Lines, to begin performances on September 22 at the Cherry Lane. Here are playwright Stephen Belber and Geoffrey Nauffts, artistic director of Naked Angels, which is presenting the play.

Broadway veteran, Chicago theater favorite, and former Friends star David Schwimmer is directing the production.

The show, about a boys' night gone awry, will star Josh Lucas, Jennifer Mudge, Dominic Fumusa, and Noah Emmerich.

On Wednesday, a press conference was held to formally announce that playwright Tony Kushner would receive the first annual Steinberg Distinguished Playwrights Award. Here are committee members Eduardo Machado, Oskar Eustis, Marc Masterston, Martha Lavey, and Andre Bishop with the award, which was designed by celebrity architect and set designer David Rockwell.

That same morning, there was a special open rehearsal of the Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming new musical Romantic Poetry, co-written by John Patrick Shanley and Henry Krieger.

The show's talented cast will feature Mark-Linn Baker, Jeb Brown, Ivan Hernandez, Emily Swallow, Patina Miller, and Jerry Dixon.
