Stage and television favorites Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth will be among the guest judges for FOX's American Idol, filling in for the recently departed Paula Abdul, according to published reports. Other guest judges for the upcoming season include Victoria Beckham, Shania Twain and Mary J. Blige.

Harris' many stage credits include Assassins, Sweeney Todd, Rent, and All My Sons. He recently hosted the 2009 Tony Awards, and currently co-stars as Barney in CBS' How I Met Your Mother, for which he has earned Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations.

Chenoweth won the Tony Award for You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown, and appeared on Broadway in Wicked, The Apple Tree, and Epic Proportions. She recently co-starred on the ABC series, Pushing Daisies, for which she has received a 2009 Emmy Award nominations.
