Shakespeare, Sarah Kane and Tennessee Williams Part of Gamm Theatre Season in Providence

By Andy Propst • Jul 15, 2009 • New York

Works by Shakespeare, Sarah Kane, Tennessee Williams and Tom Stoppard are all part of the 2009-2010 season at the Sandra Gamm-Feinstein Theatre in Providence, Rhode Island.

The season will begin with Shakespeare's romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing (September 14-October 4), followed by the Bard's tragic tale of star-crossed lovers, Romeo & Juliet (October 22-November 15). For theatergoers who want a double-dose of Shakespeare, the two productions will run in rep from November 18-29.

The Gamm-Feinstein season turns contemporary in the new year. Sarah Kane's 4.48 Psychosis starts 2010 off (January 14-February 7). This production will be followed by Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie (March 4-April 4), and the season will conclude with Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll (April 29-May 30).
