Colin Hanlon, Carrie Manolakos, Phoebe Strole, et al. Set for Factory Girls Concerts

The new musical Factory Girls: The Songs of Wood and Steel, written by Creighton Irons and Sean Mahoney, will received staged concert presentations on June 22, at Ars Nova at 8pm, followed by Joe's Pub at 11:30pm. Stephen Sposito will direct.

Set at the dawn of the American Industrial Revolution, the musical follows a group of young women who leave their homes in the country for the textile mills of Lowell, Massachusetts.

The cast will be led by Colin Hanlon, Carrie Manolakos, and Phoebe Strole, with Allison Cusano, Kate Ferber, Julia Mattison, Brynn O'Malley, Sarah Ottosen, Allison Jill Posner, Dana Steingold, Shaina Taub, and Nicole Weiss. The five-piece band will be led by Vadim Feichtner, and the concerts will feature lighting design by Brian Tovar.
