Maggie Gyllenhaal will join previously announced stars Dame Maggie Smith, and Emma Thompson in the film Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, to be written by Thompson and directed by Susanna White, according to Variety.

The picture, a sequel to 2005's Nanny McPhee, will also star Rhys Ifans and Asa Butterfield. In addition, Ralph Fiennes is in talks to take an uncredited cameo in the movie.

The film will center on a group of kids who are evacuated from the city to a farm during wartime.

Gyllenhaal recently appeared Off-Broadway in Uncle Vanya and previously appeared on stage in Homebody/Kabul. Her many film credits include The Dark Knight and Secretary.
