Madeline Lee Gilford Dies at 84
Actress Madeline Lee Gilford, the widow of actor Jack Gilford, died in New York City on Monday, April 14 at age 84.
Gilford, who was blacklisted along with her husband in the 1950s, appeared in the 1944 Broadway play Embezzled Heaven and was a producer on two Broadway shows The World of Sholom Alecheim and the ill-fated musical Rags. She also had small parts in numerous movies and television series including Save the Tiger, Cocoon: The Return, The Savages, and Law & Order. She co-authored a memoir.
She is survived by her children Lisa, Joseph, and Sam. The funeral will be at 11:15am on Thursday, April 17 at Riverside (Amsterdam Avenue and 76th Street).
