Phyllis Johnson, Alfredo Narciso, et al. Set for Red Bull Reading of The Steward of the Duchess of Amalfi

Alfredo Narciso
Lope de Vega's play, translated by Álvaro Mendoza, is a lyrical, haunting tragedy of tortured desire, class conflict and revenge -- written around the same time as John Webster's Duchess of Malfi, which Red Bull is currently presenting in a full production.
Following the reading, there will be a post-play "Bull Session" with Gabriela Carrion, Professor of Spanish, Bard College and Edmund Miller, Chair, English Department, C.W.Post Campus, LIU.
