Judy's Chelsea to Close Its Doors on March 29

The club, founded by Judy Kreston and David Lahm, was formerly situated on West 44th Street. At its current location, 169 Eighth Avenue (at 19th Street), it has become well known for its intimate setting, its quality food, and its excellent technical facilities. Kreston cited a dispute with the landlord as the reason for the closure.
Two shows scheduled to play at Judy's after March 29, Lucille Carr-Kaffashan's "Young @ Heart" and Anne Pringle and Mark Burnell's "Our Songs," will be performed instead at Don't Tell Mama and Rose's Turn, respectively. For more information, visit the Judy's Chelsea website at www.judyschelsea.com.
