Craig Lucas Wins Greenfield Prize for Love & Irony

Craig Lucas has won the Greenfield Prize for Love & Irony. The prize includes a $30,000 commission to create a new piece of work, a residency at the Hermitage Artist Retreat, and a production of the work by a professional arts organization. Asolo Repertory Theatre will offer a reading of the new play on April 3 as part of its inaugural new play festival, Unplugged, which will run March 14 - April 3.

Other pieces that will receive readings during the course of Unplugged include Michelle Carter's How to Pray (March 14), Steven Drukman's The Innocents (March 16), Carey Perloff's Higher (March 17), and Fizz by Rogelio Martinez (March 26-27). Additional plays for the Festival will be announced at a later date.
