Barry McNabb will direct and choreograph Inside Broadway's revival of Duke Ellington's Sophisticated Ladies, which will tour New York City's public schools March 1-May 21. John Bowen serves as the production's musical director.

The piece, originally conceived by Donald McKayle, features such Ellington classics as "Take The 'A' Train," "In a Sentimental Mood," "Don't Mean a Thing if it Ain't Got That Swing," and "Sophisticated Lady." For this school tour, Inside Broadway has created a special edition of the show that incorporates the rich history of jazz and the Harlem Renaissance into the production. The company will feature Gabrielle Porter, Lexi Rhoades, and Jason Sparks.

The creative team will include Karl Ruckdeschel (costume design) and Carl Talent (scenic design).
