Sarah Ruhl has won the Will Glickman Award for In the Next Room (or the vibrator play). The prize recognizes the author of the best play to have its world premiere in the San Francisco Bay Area.

In the Next Room premiered at Berkeley Rep last year, running February 5 - March 15. The production was directed by Les Waters, who subsequently directed the Broadway production, which starred Laura Benanti and Michael Cerveris.

Ruhl's other plays include Dead Man's Cell Phone, The Clean House, Eurydice, and Passion Play, which will have its New York premiere at the Irondale Center in Brooklyn, running April 27 - May 30.
