Marina Draghici, Ann Roth, et al. Nominated for Costume Designers Guild Awards

The Costume Designers Guild has announced the nominations for its annual awards, given in three categories, contemporary, period and fantasy.

In the contemporary category, Marina Draghici has been nominated for her designs for Precious. The Obie Award-winning designer is currently represented on Broadway with Fela!, where she has served as both scenic and costume designer.

Nominated in the period category is Ann Roth for her designs for Julie and Julia. Four-time Tony Award nominee Roth's stage credits include last season's Hedda Gabler, as well as the recent The Odd Couple, The Tale of the Allegist's Wife, and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. Also nominated in the period category is Colleen Atwood for her designs for the movie version of the musical Nine.

Other nominees include Hope Hanafin, Jason Alper, Doug Hall, Danny Glicker, Catherine Leterrier, Jenny Beavan, Sandy Powell, Mayes C. Rubeo, Deborah Lynn Scott, Monique Prudhomme, and Michael Kaplan.
