A sparkling concert to celebrate the 150th birthday of Victor Herbert, America's Master of Melody and Romance. No one has played a more important role in the development of the music of our country--as a masterful composer of popular and classical music, a talented conductor, virtuoso cellist, founder of ASCAP and famous New York bon vivant. Join Maestro Dino Anagnost in an evening of Victor Herbert's stirring marches, brilliant orchestral works, soaring waltzes, rhapsodic love songs, and selections from his popular Broadway operettas. The concert includes his glorious Cello Concert No. 2, and timeless classics such as Sweethearts, In Old New York, and Ah, Sweet Mystery of Life. Come and enjoy a glass of Herbert's musical champagne!
