WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
In a daring program of fantasy and variation, GRAMMY Award-winner Oppens finds the genius in works by Beethoven and Academy Award-winning composer John Corigliano, and offers the New York premiere of Winging It (three improvisations for piano). Featuring: Ludwig van Beethoven / Fantasy, Op. 77 and Eroica Variations, Op. 35 John Corigliano / Fantasia on an Ostinato, Etude Fantasy, and Winging It (three improvisations for piano). Join Symphony Space's Associate Artistic Director Laura Kaminsky for a pre-performance Underscore discussion with composer John Corigliano at 7 pm.
