Red Sky presents Tomson Highway Flies with a Little Help from his Friends, a charming musical cabaret featuring Tomson Highway's whimsical The Incredible Adventures of Mary Jane Mosquito and selections from his musical Rose, part of his "Rez" cycle. Highway is joined by the incomparable Sudbury-born mezzo-soprano, Patricia Cano.

Born without wings, Mary Jane Mosquito is an outcast. After overcoming many obstacles and facing the ridicule of the other insects, Mary Jane eventually discovers her true voice through singing and realizes that her way to shine in the world is to share this gift. Some say that this metaphorical search for acceptance reflects Highway's own voyage.
