A Year in Rainbow Finale is the culmination of burlesque performer Darlinda Just Darlinda's "living art" project "A Year in Rainbow". From August 1, 2007 to August 1, 2008, Darlinda has explored the colors Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, and Purple both individually and together as a six-colored Rainbow. On even-numbered month (August, October, December, etc), Darlinda wore a single color for the duration of the month, and produced a show inspired by that color. On odd-numbered months (September, November, January, etc) she wore all rainbow every day.The Year in Rainbow Finale is about the collaboration that happened throughout the year," says Darlinda, "But it's also a report on the art/social experiment I got from the public at large when I wore one color or rainbow for an entire year." Darlinda has recorded her experience via daily photographs, journal entries, and video on her website www.yearinrainbow.com, she will integrate blog entries, video, and the best burlesque of the Year in Rainbow performances to create the most colorful multi media burlesque show of the year! The Year in Rainbow Finale will feature the most vibrant burlesque performers from each color month and fellow collaborators in the Year in Rainbow.
