Equally at home in the Blue Ridge Mountains as in a New York City club, The Wiyos draw inspiration from the urbane sounds of Django Reinhardt, the Gershwin Brothers and Fats Waller, as well as the country styles of Gary Davis, Skip James, and Doc Watson. With an instrumentation of washboard, harmonica, kazoo, resonator guitar, banjo, upright bass, and three harmony vocals, the Wiyos' promise an afternoon of free-wheelin' Vaudevillian-Ragtime-Blues-HillBilly-Swing fun.
