One of rock music's all-time greats, the Steve Miller Band has sold more than 30 million records in a career spanning more than 40 years. His hit-making prowess landed him on the top of the charts with songs like Fly Like An Eagle, Rock 'N Me, The Joker, Jet Airliner, Jungle Love, Swingtown, Take The Money And Run and Abracadabra. Besides those credentials, Steve Miller's status as a legendary figure in rock music has found him in the company of some of music's greatest artists, beginning with boyhood associations with Les Paul, Tal Farlow, T-Bone Walker, and Boz Scaggs. Later, as he worked to make his mark as a guitarist, he rubbed elbows and shared stages with preeminent figures like Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Grateful Dead, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Electric Flag, Glyn Johns, Pink Floyd and Paul McCartney. Always moving forward, he follows up last year's album, Bingo!, with a new record entitled Let Your Hair Down on April 19. His trademark blues-rock sound has made him one of the key artists in classic rock radio and one of the centerpiece attractions of the summer rock concert season. Some people call him Maurice, the Midnight Toker or the Space Cowboy. He is the Gangster of Love.
