Burlesque meets grotesque. I am sure, artistically, it is valid to interpret any work in any way the producer feels relevant but for my taste this was too much burlesque which hid the main these of the story behind too many off the wall contrivances, many of which seemed to be rehashes of what has been done before in other productions. The staging and acting were good and there were good moments but for me, it was a much too stylized and over the top production which left one wondering what the story really meant or if it was just being used as a vehicle for what amounted to a burlesque show. Certainly dont bring the children!!!

A beautiful, grotesque and brilliant nightmare that will haunt long after one has left the theatre. Not for the wee ones, but for everyone else there are physical tricks and theatrical treats in this production that are not be missed.
