WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Directed by Paul Leni, 1928. With Conrad Veidt, Mary Philbin and Iulius Molnar Jr. Inspired by Victor Hugo's famous novel, L'homme qui rit whose central character is a man purposely disfigured with a fixed, hideous grin. A silent film presented in its original black and white! Accompanied by an original orchestral score performed by Octuor de France and conducted by the composer Gabriel Thibaudeau, pianist at the Québec Cinématèque.
