WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust presents
The Journey to Golda's Balcony, written, produced and directed by Yves Gerard Issembert. The film is followed by a discussion with actress Tovah Feldshuh.

On Yom Kippur 1973, Egypt and Syria launched a surprise attack against
Israel. After three days of intense combat, an unprepared Israel was
fighting for its life. Join us for an exclusive screening of the
documentary, narrated by Alec Baldwin, starring Broadway luminary Tovah
Feldshuh. This film is a rare behind-the-scenes look at the preparation of
an actor taking on the role of a lifetime and a Prime Minister taking on the
crisis of her life. It has never-before-seen interviews with former heads of
state, commanders in the field, and the last interview with Ambassador
Simcha Dinitz before he died. It also contains the only available footage
from the Broadway play Golda's Balcony.

Tovah Feldshuh is a four-time Tony nominee and winner of the Drama Desk and Lucille Lortel for Best Actress for her work in Golda's Balcony.
