WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

The Grey Zone Directed by Tim Blake Nelson; Starring Harvey Keitel, Steve Buscemi, Mira Sorvino, Lisa Benavides, and David Chandler. Post-screening discussion with cast members and others to be announced Ordered to operate the gas chambers, Jewish Sonderkommandos accepted gristly duty for several extra months of life. Tim Blake Nelson's screen adaptation of his play, The Grey Zone, depicts their attempt at rebellion, nearly thwarted when several men attempt to save one child. Featuring stellar performances from an all-star cast, this film examines the moral ground between evil and compassion, right and wrong. When the Museum of Jewish Heritage - A Living Memorial to the Holocaust first opened its doors on September 15, 1997, visitors gained a vital perspective on 20th century Jewish history. Created as a living memorial to those who perished during the Holocaust, our Museum honors those who died by celebrating their lives - cherishing the traditions that they embraced, examining their achievements and faith, and affirming the vibrant worldwide Jewish community that is their legacy today.
