The New York country music scene elite have gathered to perform the songs of their Grand Ole Opry idols in this one of a kind country revue...with a backing band of the city's finest players, The Gotham Ole Opry brings that 1950s Nashville sound up to big city standards.
Backed by her ace combo, The Poor Man's Roses, Carolyn Sill's performance will transport you back to the late 1950's as she captures Patsy's classic swoon and heart wrenching emotion with every note.
Jack Grace is the Martini Cowboy, a New York City bred singer, songwriter, guitarist, banjo-picker and whiskey drinker, serving up his freshest brew yet of heartbreaking ballads, robust drinking songs and honky-tonk hymns. (Village Voice)
Alex Battles & Whisley Rebellion are dedicated to making a roof-shaking joyful hodgepodge of honky-tonk, jump blues, and rock 'n' roll. The Village Voice has said of his performances: "Clad in a trucker's hat, brandishing a legal pad of just-finished lyrics, and sporting a drawling, lazy voice, Battles can wrap audiences around his knotty fingers."
Monica Passin, of Li'l Mo & the Monicats, is a 20 year veteran of the New York country music scene. She co-founded the Twanglers, who recorded for Diesel Only Records. She is currently recording a third album of original material, expanding the range from country and rockabilly to R&B, blues, and 60s-style pop.
