WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
The Escher String Quartet opens this season's International String Quartet series. Growing in stature and world-wide recognition, the Eschers -- members of CMS Two -- begin and close its program with works of Schubert, including the intriguing, unfinished Quartettsatz. Program Franz Schubert Quartettsatz in C minor for Strings, D. 703 Alexander von Zemlinsky String Quartet No. 2, Op. 15 Anton Webern Five Movements for String Quartet, Op. 5 Franz Schubert String Quartet in G major. D. 887, Op. 161
